      Hon. Victor Antony,— To ask the Minister of Coconut Development and Janatha Estate Development,—

      (a) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether varieties of coconut that can survive in different whether conditions in Sri Lanka, including unfavourable weather conditions like intermittent severe droughts, have been identified; and

      (ii) of the success or failure of the experiments carried out in that regard?

      (b) If not, why?
