      Hon. Ajith Kumara,— To ask the Minister of Education,—

      (a) Will he state—

      (i) the year in which the Trainee Teachers’ Training Final Examination was held last;

      (ii) the number of trainee teachers who have not been able to sit the final examination for various reasons and have not received the trained certificate;

      (iii) whether action will be taken to hold a special examination for those teachers;

      (iv) if so, when; and

      (v) if action will not be taken as per (iii) above, what measures will be adopted in respect of the said trainee teachers who have not secured trained certificates?

      (b) If not, why?
