Hon. (Mrs.) Rosy Senanayake,— To ask the Minister of Water Supply and Drainage,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the name of the source of water from which drinking water is supplied to the people of Trincomalee area;
(ii) of the name of the institution which supply water from that source,
(iii) of the reasons for the shortage of drinking water that the people of Trincomalee area had to face since June 2013;
(iv) of the urgent measures that were taken to overcome that shortage of drinking water; and
(v) whether an additional source of water will be used to address the shortage of drinking water in Trincomalee area?
(b) If not, why?
