Hon. Rauf Hakeem,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that Mr. S.M.M. Haleel, a graduate teacher, residing at No. 18B, Kurukunthala, Kadugannawa, was assaulted on 01.02.2010 and his private vehicle was damaged by an outsider who had forcibly entered the school premises while Mr. Haleel was on duty at his place of work, Zahira National School of Mawanella?
(b) Is he aware that no proper action has been taken in that respect so far, even though Mr. Haleel has lodged a complaint about the incident with the Mawanella Police under No. 273/06 and dated 07.02.2010?
(c) Will he take action to give an order to conduct an impartial investigation regarding the aforesaid complaint lodged concerning an act of assaulting a teacher within government school premises, interfering with his duty?
(d) If not, why?
