Hon. Udaya Prabhath Gammanpila,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of motorcycles given to the public officers in the year 2014 on the basis that fifty thousand rupees is paid by the officer; and
(ii) the number of officers who paid money in the year 2014 and did not receive motorcycles as at 31.10.2015?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether the government has paid back the full amount of Rs. 50,000/- paid by the government officers for motorcycles or part of the aforesaid amount as promised in the Presidential Election period in 2015; and
(ii) if so, the departments in which the officers who have been given their money back are serving?
(c) If not, why?
