Hon.Vijitha Herath,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the sum of Rs. 8,000/= added to the salary of public servants and employees of State Corporations, Boards, Provincial bodies and Government-owned Companies in terms of Public Administration Circular No. 5/2015, out of the Rs. 10,000/= promised to the Public servants at the 2015 Presidential Election, has not been received by the employees attached to the state projects; and
(ii) the Ministry of Finance took steps to grant the previous salary increases to the employees of projects as well?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the reasons for not granting the salary increase to the employees of projects even after 10 months of the salary increase according to (a)(i) above;
(ii) the steps that have been taken to grant the said salary increase to employees of projects;
(iii) whether steps will be taken to grant the relevant salary increase to the employees of state projects soon; and
(iv) the date on which the proposed Management Services Department Circular relating to the projects, which had been suspended for 2 years will be implemented?
(c) If not, why?
