Hon. Ananda Aluthgamage,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) Upali Kumara Kithsiri who is employed as the Govi Niyamaka of Giraulla Division of the of the Ganga Ihala Korale Divisional Secretariat Division has constructed a road leading to his personal residence fraudulently using public funds in year 2014;
(ii) the aforesaid road does not belong to the Ganga Ihala Korale Pradeshiya Sabha area;
(iii) the aforesaid road has been constructed by forcefully filling without proper authorization the paddy land that belongs to Giraulla Temple;
(iv) payments have been made for the construction of the aforesaid road using public funds; and
(v) political power has been used for utilizing public funds for the construction of a private road and for filling paddy lands without permission?
(b) Will he inform this House of the action that will be taken against the aforesaid construction?
(c) If not, why?
