Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,—To ask the Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether vehicles numbered CAQ-1043 and CAQ-1047 have been purchased for the Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs;
(ii) if so, the date they were purchased;
(iii) the price of each vehicle;
(iv) whether tenders were called for the purpose;
(v) if so, the date;
(vi) the institutions that were interested and the prices they submitted;
(vii) the first owner of those vehicles, registered under the Department of Motor Traffic;
(viii) their addresses are;
(ix) the CIF value and the amount paid according to the Customs reports when importing these vehicles; and
(x) the tax relief granted for those vehicles?
(b) If not, why ?
