Hon. Bandula Gunawardana,—To ask Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the names of the schools in which 200 smart digital classrooms were commenced as per proposal No. 191 of the 2016 budget ;
(ii) the amount of money released from the General Treasury for these 200 classrooms in the year 2016;
(iii) whether a list of the names of the schools that have been selected by now to establish 1000 such classrooms in the year 2017 will be submitted;
(iv) the names of the schools in which digital smart classrooms are operating better at present; and
(v) the institutions which provide consultancy assistance for these advanced technological facilities in the aforesaid schools?
(b) If not, why?
