Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,—To ask Minister of Finance and Mass Media,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a list of the enterprises commenced in year 2016 in accordance with the massive tax amnesty granted for the enterprises to be commenced in regressive areas that make an investment of 10 million US Dollars or generate 500 new employment opportunities as recommended from the proposal No. 202 of the 2016 budget will be submitted;
(ii) the regressive areas identified when presenting the aforesaid proposal;
(iii) the measures taken by the government up to now from year 2000, when developing infrastructure facilities of aforesaid regressive areas; and
(iv) it is admitted that industries cannot be expanded to regressive areas, without massive development of infrastructure facilities?
(b) If not, why?
