Hon. M.H.M. Salman,—To ask the Minister of Housing and Construction,—
(a) Will he state —
(i) the year in which the model village “Sameeragama“ of Mundalama Divisional Secretariat Division of Puttlam district was established;
(ii) of the total extent of lands, acquired by National Housing Development Authority for aforesaid purpose;
(iii) separately the number of families chosen as land beneficiaries, the number of permanent residents identified from them by now and the number of sub families;
(iv) whether a programme will be launched to grant blocks of lands to sub families identified from the residents for their permanent residential purposes; and
(v) whether measures will be taken to grant permanent deeds for land beneficiaries?
(b) If not, why?
