Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the year of the lifetime of three power plants at Norochcholai Coal Power Plant expires;
(ii) the alternative methods to be used to obtain energy generated from those three power plants after their lifetime expired; and
(iii) whether policy makers of long term power generation schemes have focused attention on the consequences of the deactivation of those power plants before the due time, after considering the frequent technical failures in them?
(b) If not, why?
