Hon. Lucky Jayawardana,—To ask the Minister of Petroleum Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) how many fuel filling stations are in operation throughout the island by now;
(ii) how many of them belong to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and how many belong to private institutions, separately;
(iii) the places where fuel filling stations belonging to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation are located; and
(iv) the names of the persons who operate the filling stations referred to in (iii) above at present?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) where the fuel filling stations belonging to private institutions are located;
(ii) who own them;
(iii) whether he admits that such fuel filling stations are not properly regulated;
(iv) if so, whether he will formulate a methodology to regulate such fuel filling stations; and
(v) if so, how?
(c) If not, why?
