Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,— To ask the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he admits that the people who consume water from Kalu Ganga face various difficulties in February and March in every year since the water in Kalu ganga gets mixed with sea water;
(ii) of the solution that will be provided to solve that problem;
(iii) of the progress of the construction of the proposed salinity barrier; and
(iv) of the progress of the proposal to construct a water purifying treatment plant in Kuda Ganga?
(b) If not, why?
