Transport office looks after the duties and functions in regard to the operation and maintenance of the entire fleet of vehicles coming under the purview of the Secretary General of Parliament. This includes vehicles provided to the Hon. Speaker, Hon. Deputy Speaker and Deputy Chairman of Committees and the fleet of buses, cars etc. used by Parliamentary Secretariat.
The operation of the bus service for the Staff of Parliament is a main function of the Transport Office. In addition, maintenance and operation of a cost effective, efficient fleet of vehicles while ensuring efficient and effective services to meet various requirements of transportation in Parliament.
